Doris Chau '06 has published her first book of poetry around loss, healing and mothering. After the sudden and tragic death of her mother, the author embarked on a healing journey. “of son and light,” written under her pen name, Michele Youk, is a story about hope.

"Especially in uncertain times," she writes, "may there be lightness in living for you."

After receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology, Chau attended Syracuse University, where she earned a master's degree in education and a Juris Doctor.
