2021 CASE District VII Awards of Excellence

The UCLA Alumni Diversity Programs & Initiatives team is proud to be recognized by The Council for Advancement and Support of Education. 

From the judges: A timely piece that engages their alumni in a genuine way, the Diversity Digest’s purpose and content are focused and clear. We appreciate the opt-in strategy that displays an audience-first approach, and think this entry can serve as a model for other institutions interested in communicating community impact around DEI and social justice issues. Well done.

From the judges: Clearly a lot of work and tons of creativity went into this effort, and it shows. A truly original, innovative and fun way to engage alumni virtually, and address a timely and relevant social issue. The website was well designed, and the parade clearly explained. The floats were awesome, and the parade moderators reflect a diverse group.

As UCLA becomes increasingly diverse, Diversity Programs & Initiatives in Alumni Affairs offers you ways to connect with alumni and UCLA, based on the interest and activities that meant the most to you as a student—and still mean so much to you today.

Diversity Programs & Initiatives organizes various signature events designed to support, engage and connect Bruins with each other and UCLA. In addition, Diversity Programs & Initiatives supports various diversity alumni networks whose missions and visions empower the student, alumni, staff and faculty of UCLA on-campus and beyond.
