Join your fellow Bruins for a rewarding moment of service with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County at Harvest Solutions Farm, where your efforts will directly support over 330,000 individuals facing food insecurity in Orange County, including more than 84,000 children. Last year alone, Second Harvest served an average of 442,000 people per month, distributing an incredible 35.8 million pounds of food. By volunteering, you’ll be a crucial part of this vital mission.
Located on a sprawling 45-acre farm in Irvine, Harvest Solutions Farm partners with Second Harvest, the University of California South Coast Research & Extension Center, and Solutions for Urban Agriculture. The farm provides fresh, nutritious produce—50,000-60,000 pounds weekly—to over 300 distribution partners, including schools, senior centers, houses of worship, and colleges.
Roll up your sleeves and join us for a Saturday shift! Whether we are planting, harvesting, weeding, or maintaining the fields and grow boxes, your work will have a meaningful impact. Not only will you help supply fresh produce to those in need, but you'll also connect with other UCLA alumni and enjoy the great outdoors.
Be part of this impactful community effort—your support is key to the success of Harvest Solutions Farm. Sign up today and make a difference!
