Julie Sina was appointed to be the interim chief of staff for UCLA Chancellor Frenk in June 2025. Prior to this, she served as the associate vice chancellor for Alumni Affairs since 2013, where she demonstrated remarkable leadership skills that allowed for a creative and concerted transformation of the entire Alumni program. In addition to Alumni Affairs, Julie led the Advancement Services division and served as C.F.O. and C.O.O for The UCLA Foundation and UCLA Investment Company. Prior to joining External Affairs, she served as chief of staff supporting the deans and the College. Julie earned her Ph.D. at Virginia Tech and, in addition to Virginia Tech, has served the University of Florida, University of the Pacific, Iowa State and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
