Grant Nelson
Praised by students for his enthusiasm and warmth, Grant Nelson makes property law and land finance unexpectedly fun and entertaining. Nelson has inspired many students to go into the field with his combination of facts and non-fiction storytelling, where he breaks down complex disputes using personality types and common situations. He has served on a number of committees including the American Law Institute, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, and the Member Task Force on Law School Community. Describing his 34 years of teaching as part of his core identity, Nelson has supervised countless student research projects that have been published in the UCLA Law Review, chaired the Admissions Committee, and developed a new course on real estate transactions. Currently he is involved in the Law School Board of West Publishing, and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
