Brewer has held various Association volunteer positions including board treasurer and chair of the Professional and Academic Council. She has been a member of the Anderson Board of Visitors, Development Committee and the Anderson School Dean Search Committee. She was president of the UCLA Anderson Alumni as well as president of the Executive M.B.A. Alumni Associations. She is also a member of Gold Shield. In addition to her service to UCLA, Brewer volunteers at Regina Residence, an assisted living facility for retired religious sisters, and at the Fullerton College Horticulture Department. She is a retired health care executive.

Yolanda Nunn Gorman is president and chief executive officer of Brilliance Strategies, Inc. (formerly Nunn Consulting, Inc.), a full service management consulting firm dedicated to the needs of nonprofit agencies. She teaches workshops on proposal writing, evaluation, nonprofit board development, fundraising and nonprofit management. In addition, Gorman is core faculty and the director of a doctoral program in Organizational Consulting at Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, Calif. Recipient of the Richard Riordan Award for Business Leadership, Gorman also serves as a proposal reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Gorman is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Alumni Association’s Alumni Academy and past Association president and vice president. An active volunteer with multiple community, civic and cultural organizations, she has served as chair of the board of the California Association of Nonprofits and the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California and is currently the alumni regent on the UC Board of Regents.

A CPA, Takasugi is the chief financial officer of a real estate development company headquartered in Century City. He served as the 2005-06 UCLA Alumni Association vice president He also has served on the Association's Finance Review Committee, as a board director, on scholarship and award committees and as a Homecoming Parade judge. He has volunteered for Interview With a Bruin and UC Day in Sacramento. Takasugi is a member of the University Recreational Advisory Committee and has served on the board of directors of the John R. Wooden Center. Outside UCLA, he has been a club soccer coach, manager and national referee, and was involved in teaching and coaching youth sports programs.

Terman, a partner with Reish Luftman Reicher & Cohen law firm, earned his law degree from Loyola. His broad Association experience includes a previous term as general counsel, and work on the Executive, Finance Review, Bylaws, Nominations and Volunteer Recruitment, Membership and Benefits, Greek Relations, Volunteer Relations, Diversity, Alumni Awards, and multiple award nomination and scholarship committees. Other UCLA activities include Chancellor's Associates, Intrafraternity Council, Zeta Beta Tau, Westside Development Committee and governmental relations. He is active with a wide range of professional and community organizations, including the American, State of California, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles County bar associations; Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals, Professionals In Human Resources Association, Children's Nature Institute, Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, Museum of Contemporary Art, Contemporaries Support Group and Los Angeles Conservancy. He was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1992.

Bechtel is a senior portfolio manager at Wells Fargo in Santa Barbara. He began volunteering at UCLA as an undergraduate, serving as an intern for the Campus Events Commission, director of the Administrative Internship Program and ultimately as administrative vice president of Undergraduate Students Association Council. As an alumnus, he has volunteered extensively within UCLA and the greater Los Angeles community. He has served as chair of the Professional and Academic Council, member of the Scholarship Committee, and president of the Anderson Alumni Association. In the community, he currently serves on the boards of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, We Can (a pediatric brain tumor support network), and Global Neuro Rescue (supporting international brain injured children, including the famous Guatemalan twins).

Brant has been the executive director of the UCLA Alumni Association since July 1995. He oversees the administration of one of the world's largest and most demographically diverse alumni associations, which includes more than 350,000 alumni worldwide, 84,000 dues-paying members and an active volunteer base of 6,500 students and alumni. In addition to his position as CEO of the Alumni Association, he is the assistant vice chancellor, alumni relations for the campus. Brant began his professional experience with the Association in 1984. As director, student/alumni relations and, later, director, alumni and student programs, he oversaw several programs designed to develop a greater sense of affinity to UCLA and the Alumni Association among students and alumni. Brant holds UCLA degrees in film and television and in higher education. His doctoral research explored the nature of volunteer leadership in grassroots settings.

At UCLA, Henricks was active with the Panhellenic Council and Alpha Chi Omega. In 2002, she was named to the Alumni Association Membership and Benefits Committee, which evolved into the current Marketing Committee. She is a senior consultant at Siegel & Gale, a strategic branding firm. She has spearheaded brand alignment programs for clients including Lexus, Microsoft, Technicolor, Standard Pacific Homes, Experian and Aptium Oncology. Her previous professional experience includes director of marketing for online retailer eNutrition, and positions at ad agency The Weston Group and homebuilder KB Homes. She holds a master of arts degree from USC Annenberg School.

Manby holds an M.B.A. from Yale and works as an internal management consultant identifying new market and technology opportunities for Visa USA. Manby's service to UCLA began as a student, serving the Student Alumni Association as Senior Class Cabinet Gift director, Spring Sing executive director, National Convention director and on the Homecoming executive committee. She also was active with Mardi Gras, Bruin Belles and the USAC Elections Committee. As an alumna, Manby has been a member of Awards for Excellence and the Membership and Benefits committees and and volunteered for many Association projects, including Career Network, Dinners for 12 Strangers, New Student Welcome Calling and student recruitment receptions.

Manning first served the Association board as chair of the Regional Council. She has served on the board of the Rose Bowl Bruins since 1994. She first volunteered for UCLA through the Student Alumni Association, where she held board positions on the National Convention and Spring Sing committees. Since 1996, Manning has worked with the UCLA School Management Program, where she is the director of events and marketing. In 2004, Manning completed the University's prestigious Professional Development Program. Manning has served on a number Association committees, including Government Relations Alumni Advocacy, Educational Outreach, Alumni Awards for Excellence, Ralph Bunche Scholarship Award, and Nominations and Volunteer Recruitment. She is active in Bruin Caucus and other University advocacy efforts.

Ochoa holds a law degree from UC Davis and is partner in a law firm specializing in legislative and administrative law, as well as sports representation. His UCLA activities include Beta Theta Pi, and past president and member of the board of the Sacramento Area UCLA Alumni. His community involvement includes the Davis City Planning Commission, First Tee of Greater Sacramento, Special Olympics and Jesuit High School.

Roper earned her M.A. from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and works as a counselor at Santa Monica College and El Camino College. A graduate of the Alumni Academy, she has served on the Association's Educational Outreach, Bunche Scholarship and Community Service committees and sits on the board of the UCLA Black Alumni Association. She began her involvement with the Association board as the Diversity/Outreach Council chair. As a student, she was involved in many activities, including Special Olympics, Student Educational Exposure Project, Community Service Commission and African Graduation Committee. She is active at Faithful Central Bible Church.

In addition to his two UCLA degrees, Davis holds advanced degrees in law and financial services. He is a private practice attorney specializing in estate planning, trust and probate law. His UCLA-related roles include Chancellor's Associates and various leadership positions, including president, for the San Fernando Valley Bruins. Davis is widely recognized for his active and vocal support at UCLA athletics events. He also volunteers as a youth baseball and basketball coach.

De Jesus spent her student years taking full advantage of her UCLA opportunities. In addition to her studies, she served in several leadership roles for the Student Alumni Association, including president and executive director of Spring Sing; and was active in other projects and organizations, including Bruin Belles, the Clothesline Project, Office of Residential Life, Delta Gamma sorority, EXPO and was a camp counselor at Bruin Woods. As an alumna, she volunteers for SAA's Entertainment Night and been on the Association's Membership and Benefits Committee. De Jesus also has served as an educator for the Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women. She is director of development at Craig Anderson Productions, developing film and TV projects. A physician, Grant currently works in quality measurement and hospital administration at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Working with medical staff, nurses, executives and decision support professionals, she works to measure and improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of patient care provided at the medical center.

Before coming to UCLA, Grant earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Yale and a medical degree from Columbia. She is former chair of the Health Care Collaborative at UCLA and the Health Care Management Student Association at the Anderson School of Management. She also served on the Anderson School's Alumni Board of Directors.

Lo holds a law degree from Harvard and currently is an attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, specializing in intellectual property and antitrust litigation. He has served on the board of the UCLA Club of Boston and currently sits on the board of the UCLA Asian Pacific Alumni Association as well as the Project by Project Steering Committee.

Rodriguez began his involvement with the Alumni Association in 1998. He has been involved in many projects, including Interview With a Bruin, Outstanding Senior Award Committee, Alumni Academy and South Bay Bruins, for which he served as president. Since graduation, Rodriguez has been involved in the travel and tour industry, the automotive industry, and for the last five years, the satellite industry with DirecTV. He also has done work in the music industry.

Alfaro is currently at Chevron Corporation in human resources strategy and planning and is responsible for workforce metrics and analytics. Recent assignments have included managing the Unocal international human resources integration, compensation analysis and a six-month human resources project assignment in Lagos, Nigeria. His previous professional experience includes regional programs director for alumni relations at the Anderson School at UCLA. He received his M.B.A at USC and currently serves on the corporate advisory board for the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. While at UCLA, Alfaro served on the Alumni Scholars Club as president and University Service director and was tours co-director for the Student Alumni Association's Parents Weekend. Since graduation, he has chaired the Ralph J. Bunche Scholarship Committee and served on the Educational Outreach and Scholarship Steering committees.

Brown has served the Alumni Association in a number of roles, chairing district, regional and state committees for the Freshman Scholarship Program, district chair of the Community College Program, and president of the Bay Area Bruins. An economics major, Brown is a financial consultant who specializes in helping clients create accumulate and conserve their net worth. In addition to her service to UCLA, Brown has taught at the Jubilee Christian Center, been chapter secretary for the Society of Financial Service Professionals and served on the board of Las Brisas Homeowners Association.

Lori Pelliccioni’s career has taken her from the courthouse to the classroom. She received her juris doctorate in 1986 and worked as a litigation associate with Katten Muchin and Zavis. She moved on to the United States Attorney’s Office where she served as an assistant United States attorney prosecuting health care fraud cases. Since leaving government service, Pelliccioni has been a partner in PricewaterhouseCooper’s Health Care Practice, the chief compliance officer and acting general counsel for DaVita, Inc. and health care consultant and interim corporate counsel for Amgen, Inc. She currently serves as the acting general counsel and chief compliance officer for Simplex Healthcare, Inc.

At UCLA, Pelliccioni studied health law, examining regulatory compliance, health care fraud and abuse. She is currently an assistant professor in the School of Public Health.

Pelliccioni is the immediate past chair and the alumni regent designate of UC California for the UCLA Alumni Association Board of Directors, a member of the School of Public Health’s alumni board and a past president of the UCLA Health Policy and Management Alumni Association. She is also a member of the Delta Omega Society.

Schwartz has worked for SBC Communications Inc. since graduation and currently oversees one of the company's Southern California high-end business call centers. She also volunteers with the Hospice of Pasadena and for her national sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi. She chaired the Career Services Committee and has served on the Awards Resource Committee, two awards nominating committees and as a Homecoming Parade judge.

Steinmetz currently serves on the board of visitors for the UCLA Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and the UCLA Library. In addition, he is a volunteer project manager for the UCLA Cultural Virtual Reality Lab. Steinmetz is a graduate of the Alumni Academy and has been a Bruin Woods camper since 1987. A commercial real estate investor, Steinmetz’s community leadership includes serving on the board of the Archaeological Institute of America, the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, and is currently President of the Friends of St. Lawrence Literacy Center in Watts.

As past president of the Alumni Association, Juline sits on the UC Board of Regents. He also has served the Association board as treasurer, chair for Regional Council, Nominations and Volunteer Recruitment, and Finance Review, and has been a member of the Student Relations Committee and Long Range Planning committees. Juline served as president of the Bay Area Bruins and on the boards of the Sacramento Area UCLA Alumni and the UCLA Club of San Diego, and chaired two regional scholarship committees. In addition, he has been a board member of the Anderson Alumni Association San Diego Chapter and been involved with Governmental Relations State Capitol Visitation since 1987. He is a retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and has served in various professional and volunteer capacities at UC Davis, California State University Fresno, UC San Diego, KVPR Valley Public Radio, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Diogenes Youth Services.

Howell is a member of Chi Omega, for which she acted as the director of community service and Webmaster. She was active in World AIDS Day 1.5 this past May. Howell was the 2003-04 talent director for Spring Sing and executive director for Dinner for 12 Strangers. She is a fourth-year student studying anthropology.

As USAC president, Wood’s goals include improving the UCLA admissions process, hosting a Thinking Globally, Acting Locally conference and expanding the USAC Student Empowerment Internship. She is a fifth-year international development studies and sociology double major with a minor in public policy. Her UCLA activities include USAC general representative, director of UCLA Dance Marathon, Samahang Pilipino, Orientation, Bruin Woods counselor, vice president/philanthropy chair of Alpha Epsilon Phi and UCLA AIDS Institute ambassador. Wood plans to pursue graduate studies in social welfare.

Mosqueda is currently a second year graduate student in higher education, with a focus on researching the educational opportunities for Chicano and Latino students. As a UCLA undergraduate, Mosqueda served as an undergraduate representative for the General Education Governance Committee and as general representative in the Undergraduate Students Association Council. She also held leadership roles in MEChA de UCLA and the Affirmative Action Coalition. Mosqueda recently has been active with the Community Activities Committee and the Alumni Association Scholarship Committee.

Kawahara is retired past president of Pacific Exchange. He has 30 years experience in stock brokerage business, primarily in senior management capacity with E.F. Hutton & Company. He has been a member of The UCLA Foundation since 1988 and is a founder of the James West Alumni Center. He served on the UCLA Medical Center Advisory Board and chaired its Managed Care Committee. He also is a past member of the Anderson School of Management's Board of Visitors and is a member of the Chancellor's Associates.

Robin Garrell is the vice provost for graduate education and dean of the graduate division at UCLA. She holds a biochemistry degree from Cornell and advanced degrees in macromolecular science and engineering from the University of Michigan. In 1991, she joined the faculty of the UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. She was chair of the UCLA Academic Senate in 2009 and chair faculty of the College of Letters and Science from 2003 to 2007. She is PI/director of the UCLA NSF-IGERT materials creation training program and a member of the CNSI and biomedical engineering faculty. She is also a charter member of the NIH enabling bioanalytical and imaging technologies study section.

Garrell received the National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award, Herbert Newby McCoy Award for Outstanding Research at UCLA, Iota Sigma Pi Agnes Fay Morgan Award, Hanson-Dow Award for Teaching Excellence at UCLA, 2003 UCLA Distinguished Teaching Award and UCLA Gold Shield Faculty Prize in 2009. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and an honorary fellow of the Society for Applied Spectroscopy.

Eicher holds a degree in sociology from UC San Diego and completed the UCLA Anderson School for Academic Health Care Management Executive Program. He has served in various professional roles at UCLA, and in his current position he holds management responsibility for University Communications, Government and Community Relations, Alumni Relations, Finance and Information Management, Development and the Office of Special Events and Protocol. He oversees UCLA's nationally recognized advancement program and The UCLA Foundation.

O'Brien leads the largest academic unit in the University of California system. She is an expert on modern French history and in 19th and 20th century social and cultural history. She has held fellowships from the National Endowment of the Humanities and the National Humanities Center as well as a Regent's Faculty Fellowship from the University of California. She has twice held the prestigious post of directeur d'études at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, France. Prior to her UCLA appointment, O'Brien served as dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at UC Riverside, and was the director of the UC Humanities Research Institute at UC Irvine.

Carnesale has served as Chancellor of UCLA since 1997. In this capacity, he leads an institution with 37,000 students; 27,000 faculty and staff; and an annual budget of $3.5 billion. An active teacher and lecturer, he holds professorial appointments in the UCLA School of Public Affairs and the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science. As Chancellor, Carnesale has guided UCLA to unprecedented achievement in attracting research funding and private monies. Under his leadership, UCLA has risen to the top tier of the nation’s research universities and doubled the scale of its annual research support, totaling $821 million in 2005. He also presided over the public phase of Campaign UCLA, the most successful and ambitious fundraising effort in the history of higher education, having raised more than $3 billion. Carnesale holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a leader in the field of international affairs and national security policy.
