Whittier Network

Welcome Bruins!

The Whittier Bruins are one of the oldest UCLA Bruin Alumni Organizations in the world! The Whittier Bruins were formed in 1954. The purpose of our club is to promote fellowship among graduates, friends, and supporters of the University of California at Los Angeles; to engage in social, cultural and sports activities and to raise funds to provide aid to students of the University. Our club motto is “Esteem for the Past, Embracing the Present.”

We hold general membership meetings thrice a year. Each meeting features a prestigious guest speaker or performer. The plans for 2017 are big! In between meetings members will be involved in community service such as the One Bus-One Cause program, Dinner for 12 Strangers, Move-in Weekend, Freshmen Bruin Day, Transfer Bruin Day, and Coffee Socials.

Planned participation in special on-campus events include the Spring Sing, fan trips supporting the university’s athletic teams, UCLA Alumni Awards banquet, Bruin Family Weekend, and the UCLA Scholarship banquet. Off campus fun includes football viewing parties, basketball viewing parties, and the Summer Send-off/Family Orientation Picnic.

We hope you’ll consider joining our club and being a part of all the good deeds and all the good fun.

Go Bruins!
