"Visions, Values, and Goals of the
Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies"
Please join us to learn more about one of UCLA’s newest programs dedicated to changing our world through food. Marcie Rothman, founder of the Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies, will speak to the vision and message of the institute and how it transformed from an idea into a reality. Following Marcie, Erica Lee, Academic Coordinator, Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies, and Pia Paloma, Academic Coordinator, Undergraduate Education Initiatives, will provide club members with an overview of the academic and educational programs currently at UCLA, past and future Institute programming, and opportunities for club members to get involved. The Rothman Family Institute is looking to become a world leader in using food as a lens to guide and inform public policy, community organization, education, public health and medicine, environmental justice, and the arts.
