About Us

Supported by Alumni Affairs, various UCLA academic departments, and generous alumni and friends, Alumni Career Engagement strives to bridge academic theory to professional practice for all UCLA students. We believe that all Bruins can, and should, begin preparing for their futures while they are students. In partnership with faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and the community, we provide opportunities for UCLA students to grow their professional skill-sets throughout their time at UCLA. From classroom experiences, like our Lab and Career courses or the Social Enterprise Academy, to co-curricular programs, like the Bruin Development Academy, our programs bring alumni and industry leaders to UCLA to teach our students how to succeed in their professional journey. Programs, like the Sharpe Fellows Internship Program, provide our students tailored counseling and mentoring to help them succeed in landing the best internship. We also bring alumni to campus to share their diverse experiences since graduation at our Life After Degree panels, and create events that showcase career options and ways to maximize the student experiences in the humanities, social sciences, and life and physical sciences.
