2019 Army Commissioning Ceremony

11 UCLA ROTCers received their commission with 60 -70 family members and friends in attendance. The three guest speakers who had served in the Army and had connections to UCLA included:

Ed Garcia ’69 (celebrating the 50th anniversary of his commissioning) and Dan Nelson ’07. Amid great pride in the room from soldiers and their families, UCLA ROTCer Vincent Okamoto, the most highly decorated Japanese American to survive the Vietnam War with his saga referenced in Ken Burns “The Vietnam War” also spoke.

  

2018 Veterans Graduation Ceremony

Ready, Aim, Hire! April 11, 2018

A UCLA VetNet partnered event at the Veterans Resource Center brought Veteran Alumni  professionals to campus to talk about the graduate school application process.  The group of   professionals included lawyers, MBAs and physicians along with 35 student veterans.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resume Review and Critique, Feb. 26-28, 2018

Military connected alumni met with student Veterans to review their CV, resume and cover letters as a part of the students career preparation program in the Veterans Resource Center.
