Why Should You Get Involved?

  • Last year, UCLA Hospitals transfused 78,000 blood components
  • In LA, only 3% of the population donate
  • In UCLA, only 1.5% donate
  • Ronald Reagan Hospital is the closest trauma center for the UCLA campus students and employees

How Can You or Your Bruin Get Involved?

Come in and donate at the UCLA Blood and Platelet Center to help patients at Ronald Reagan Hospital. Last year, our Center provided 73% of the blood product for the hospital. Our goal is to increase this number to 100% by the end of this year; and, with your help, we can get there! If you come in to donate, you are eligible to receive a movie ticket, meal voucher, or comp time (for UCLA employees). We look forward to seeing you!
